Round The Island Race (RTIR) 2019

The iconic race around the Isle of Wight, starting off Cowes, rounding anti-clockwise and finishing at Cowes – some 60 miles
We are chartering a Sunsail Match First 40 out of Port Solent from the Thursday evening through to the Sunday afternoon. Friday is a training and familiarisation day, Saturday 28th June is race day – our start is at 0750 on the RYS Start Line from Cowes. Sunday is a lazy recovery day with some light sailing around the Solent prior to returning to Port Solent for about 1600.
We have a berth booked at Cowes Yacht Haven for both the Friday and Saturday nights.
The total ‘boat’ cost is shared equally among the crew and the budget/deposit is £480 per head based on a crew of 8 (this includes boat charter, marina fees, diesel, race insurance with an excess of £800, all on-board refreshments, breakfasts & lunches): evening meals and refreshments on Friday and Saturday nights will be to individual own accounts.
